MUST POSSESS A VALID NC DRIVERS LICENSE APPLICATIONS: Bladen County Health Department has one 20-month grant funded part time position open for a Health Educator to plan and implement workshops, program and home visits for pregnant, non-pregnant, and parenting women ages 13 – 24. Position will work approximately 15 hours per week.
Position Vacancy Bladen County Health Dept. has a position open for a Medical Laboratory Assistant III. Position will assist medical laboratory staff in performing more complicated laboratory test which are used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Work may include other related duties as determined by management. This work is found throughout labs in State Government and is supervised by higher level medical laboratory personnel. Employees are responsible for proper specimen processing, specimen storage and accurately completing laboratory work order. Computer skill preferred with daily data entry. Qualifications: Graduation from high school and one year of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some knowledge of applicable laboratory instrumentation and equipment; some knowledge of test procedures performed in the laboratory; knowledge of specimen processing; skill in the use of laboratory equipment and in the performance of procedures; ability to make accurate observations; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
